Faith Douglas’s perfect events in North Yorkshire beauty spot to restore wellbeing and love of nature
A well-known author, curator and horticulturalist has launched a series of wellness walks in one of North Yorkshire’s most beautful outdoor attractions and nature spots.
Faith Douglas, who works as curator of Thorp Perrow, with its magnificent Victorian arboretum with tea room, birds of prey and animal collections, turns her expertise at proven mindfulness techniques to positively promote physical and mental health in the half-day sessions, leaving participants with a deep sense of calm which carries on afterwards as they slip back into everyday life.
Having begun her career as a nurse, Faith was inspired to retrain in horticulture from her long-term love of all things nature.
As well as becoming curator at Thorp Perrow near Bedale, Faith has worked for local charity Horticap delivering horticulture as therapy to adults with a wide range of learning disabilities.
